According to an interview with Elizabeth Luft (see in documents), who was seven years old when the family left Russia, they rode a train to Hamburg, Germany, where they boarded a boat to Liverpool, then to Nova Scotia. |
- The name of the ship was the SS Laurentian (nicknamed the Roly Poly because it wasn't very stable on the seas).
